In my last post I talked about some of the new fun bits that I’ll be sharing as part of this publication, and one of those items was the inclusion of a monthly round up of all the things - recipes of mine you might have missed, other recipes I’ve been making (or at least have bookmarked), things I’ve been doing/watching, recs etc and this is the first instalment of that. So… welcome to the November edit!

ICYMI - recent recipes!
This scallop orzo - this was inspired by a dish I ate in Cyprus earlier in the year and I think it may have been one of my husband’s favourites this year.
My favourite side salad at the moment - incredibly simple but honestly sometimes that’s best! Green oak, radish, red onion and avocado, paired with a sumac white balsamic vinaigrette.
This weeknight salmon staple - this is on regular rotation at home, I’m not really sure how it came about besides from the fact red curry paste seems to be my hoisin sauce and I was looking for ways to move through some of it.
A lil bit of pasta therapy - in the form of pappardelle!
A classic pasta - busiate con pesto alla Trapanese (and a newish video style - let me know what you think!)
What’s on my kitchen cook-list?
I have literally not stopped thinking about this cauliflower orzo since @justine_snacks posted it.
These harissa tahini noodles with eggplant are destined for dinner soon.
I recently made this chocolate marbled banana bread and it was very, very good.
On the subject of sweets, if you’re following along on the gram then you would have seen me post about the salted chocolate tahini cookies from David Lebovitz that I am quite frankly, obsessed with. You must make them!
Maybe it’s because I’m gearing up for our trip home to the UK for Christmas, but this shepherd’s pie with big dollops of cheesy mash is all I want in the world right now.
Oh, what’s occurring?
Watching
Might be a little late to the party here, but I started watching Bad Sisters on Apple over the weekend and I love it. Never have I disliked a character as much as JP and I loved the twist at the end of season 1, even if I was sort of expecting it.
Reading
Evenings and Weekends by Oisín McKenna - again, nothing gets you geared up for a holiday than reading a book that takes place in that very location! It’s too early on for my thoughts but I’ve read pretty good things about it.
Listening
I am a big fan of the Big Small Talk podcast and have been enjoying their new spin off Big Talk where they cover big news stories of the past. I listened to their two part coverage of the infamous “a dingo’s got my baby” incident and could not believe how this case was handled. Part one can be found here.
